Heating Repair

Trouble Shooting

Before giving us a call, we wanted to share some troubleshooting tips to see if a simple solution is all it takes.

Warm air isn’t coming out of the vents:

  • Change your air filter.

  • Check your vents to make sure they aren’t blocked.

  • Clean the area around your furnace or interior heating unit.

Your heat won’t come on:

  • Check your circuit breaker to see if a breaker tripped.

  • Check the thermostat. You may need to check the batteries and open it and clean out any dust to make sure the sensors are working properly.

Signs of HVAC Emergency

While most issues with your heating system are an inconvenience that can wait until the next business day, there are times your malfunctioning heating system could put you and your family in danger.

  • Burning or smoke smell

  • Gas smell

  • No heat

  • Carbon Monoxide alert

  • Flame in furnace is not blue

  • Loud noises

  • Breaker trips

Heating System Install and Replacement

Is It Time To Replace?

In most situations, a repair is the better option for your heating system, extending its life span and reducing your costs. However, there are certain situations when it really is more cost-effective to replace rather than repair an old unit.

  • Age - Most furnaces last between 10 and 15 years so if your furnace is 15 and goes out, you may want to consider replacing it rather than keeping it going with a repair. The money you’ll save in energy bills with a newer, more efficient unit will help make up the cost of replacement.

  • Efficiency - Heating systems have become much more energy-efficient over the past decade, and, according to Energy Star, replacing a furnace that is more than 10 years old can save you up to 20 percent on your energy costs. If you’re tired of high energy bills and a system that can’t keep up with the temperature outside, we would probably recommend updating the system.

What To Expect After

We are able to make the experience as simple and stress free as possible. First, we will sit down with you to determine what kind of heating system is best for your home, determining size, brand, and unit options. Then, we will schedule a convenient day and time to install the new system.

Installing a heating system isn’t a quick, simple task, often taking between four and eight hours, depending on the size of the unit and existing system, but our experienced team of technicians know how to work quickly and efficiently to get the system up and running. We will walk you through the process, and also walk you through how to use your new thermostat and system, and once we’ve answered any questions and made sure it’s working just as it should, we clean up and are on to the next task, making sure to leave your home just as we found it.

Heating System Preventative Maintenance

Why Important

Aside from changing the filters from time to time and cleaning around the outside, you may not give much thought to preventative maintenance on your heating and cooling system. Having a professional come out to inspect your system, ensure it’s in safe, good working condition, and making sure the parts and components are properly cleaned, lubricated, and changed out as needed offers the following benefits:

  • Lower Utility Bills

  • Fewer Repairs

  • Longer Lifespan

  • Improves System Safety

Our Maintenance Plan

We offer a comprehensive maintenance plan that ensures you’re system is clean, efficient, and set up to keep your home comfortable. Twice a year, once for your heat and once for cooling, we’ll come to your home to provide following service:
