Air Conditioning Repair

Trouble Shooting

Before giving us a call, we wanted to share some troubleshooting tips to see if a simple solution is all it takes.

Air flow is minimal or isn’t blowing cool:

  • Change your air filter.

  • Turn your AC off and set the fan on auto (for a frozen coil).

  • Check your thermostat to make sure it’s on ‘cool’ and ‘auto.’

  • Check the outside unit to see if leaves and debris have collected around the unit, blocking air flow.

Your air conditioner won’t come on:

  • Check your circuit breaker to see if a breaker tripped.

  • Check your thermostat to see if it’s set to the right temperature or if it’s in a location that’s cooler than much of the house.

Signs of HVAC Emergency

While most issues with your air conditioner are an inconvenience that can wait until the next business day, there are times your malfunctioning air conditioner could put you and your family in danger.

Air Conditioning Install and Replacement

Is It Time To Replace?

In most situations, a repair is the better option for your air conditioner, extending its life span and reducing your costs. However, there are certain situations when it really is more cost-effective to replace rather than repair an old unit.

  • Age - Most air conditioners last between 10 and 15 years so if your AC is 15 and goes out, you may want to consider replacing it rather than keeping it going with a repair. The money you’ll save in energy bills with a newer, more efficient unit will help make up the cost of replacement.

  • Efficiency - Air conditioners have become much more energy-efficient over the past decade, and, according to Energy Star, replacing an AC that is more than 10 years old can save you up to 20 percent on your energy costs. If you’re tired of high energy bills and a system that can’t keep up with the temperature outside, we would probably recommend updating the system.

  • Freon - If your air conditioner needs coolant or has a coolant leak, and it takes R-22, also known as Freon, you’ll need to get a new unit. Adding refrigerant and repairing a leak at this point may be more expensive than a whole new unit.

What To Expect After

If you have chosen to replace your air conditioner, we’ll do everything we can to make the experience quick and stress free. First, we’ll work with you to determine the right size and unit options to best serve your budget and comfort needs, and then we’ll set up a day and time that works with your schedule.

The average AC replacement takes between four to eight hours, though it varies depending on whether ductwork needs to be repaired. The process includes removing coolant from the old system, taking it apart, and removing the old unit, but once that is complete, our team will begin the AC installation. After we’ve finished, we’ll make sure it’s running smoothly and clean up, leaving your home exactly as we arrived, only with a new, energy efficient air conditioning system that will provide comfort for years to come!

Air Conditioning Preventative Maintenance

Why Important

Aside from changing the filters from time to time and sweeping leaves away from the outside unit, you may not give much thought to preventative maintenance on your heating and cooling system. Having a professional come out to inspect your system, ensure it’s in safe, good working condition, and making sure the parts and components are properly cleaned, lubricated, and changed out as needed offers the following benefits:

  • Lower Utility Bills

  • Fewer Repairs

  • Longer Lifespan

  • Improves System Safety

Our Maintenance Plan

We offer a comprehensive maintenance plan that ensures you’re system is clean, efficient, and set up to keep your home comfortable. Twice a year, once for your heat and once for cooling, we’ll come to your home to provide following service:
